There are various ways to Sponsor a Family’s Christmas Hamper.  We encourage the community to challenge each other and work together to complete hampers for this important, local cause.  Our goal is to provide families with food over the holidays and gifts for children. 

Options available with Sponsoring a Hamper:

    1.    Donating money to help purchase hamper requirements

- Involves sponsoring a portion of a family’s hamper, an entire hamper, or several hampers

- Any monetary contribution is greatly appreciated and enables us to fulfill the hamper requirements to the best of our abilities  

  1.     Donating items specific to the hamper requirements

- Below is a list of non-perishable hamper items that would assist a family during the Christmas season. The emphasis of the hampers will be food.

  • canned soup
  • canned vegetables
  • canned fruit
  • macaroni and cheese
  • pasta
  • pasta sauce (can so bottles don't break)
  • canned beans in tomato sauce
  • chili/stew cans
  • tuna/salmon/ham canned
  • juice, coffee, tea
  • jam
  • peanut butter
  • pancake mix
  • pancake syrup
  • instant side dishes (sidekicks, hamburger helper, rice a roni)
  • instant potatoes
  • cereral
  • instant noodles
  • crackers
  • granola bars

Approximate costs involved with Sponsoring a Hamper:

  •       For an average-sized family, the approximate cost per hamper totals $250

  •       Hamper items include

                        o   Non-perishable food items (approx. $150)

                        o   Gift card for perishables ($50)

                        o   Gifts for children 17 and under ($25 X 2 children = $50)                                                           (gift cards are ideal for children 10+)  

  •   We are in need of gifts for an average family with teenagers
