2015 Christmas Hampers

Over the years, the businesses and residents of Spruce Grove have provided outstanding support to the Christmas Hamper Program.  For the 42nd year, the Kinette Club of Spruce Grove is working to make Christmas brighter for local families struggling with a limited income.  Our goal is to assist families in need with food and gifts for the holidays and last year, with your help, we collected and prepared 375 hampers.  At present, Parkland Food Bank use is up 38% from last year; as a result, we are expecting a huge increase to our program as well (likely closer to 525 hampers this year).  This is a huge undertaking, and to achieve this goal, we rely on the kindness and generosity of our entire community to collect monetary donations, non-perishable food items and gifts.

Here are some ways you can help us reach these goals and support your community at Christmas:

  1. Sponsor A Hamper involves donating money to go towards a family’s hamper, or donating items specific to the hamper (please refer to other side for details)
  2. Any service or product that may be specific to your business that would assist with our program (ie. tickets, coupons, passes, products, food items)

Our goal is to have monetary donations in as soon as possible, and for planning purposes, we ask that these donations be received by Friday, December 11, 2015.  We are more than happy to pick up your donation, or you can forward it to the following address:

The hampers will be prepared and assembled the week of December 14, 2015 at the Spruce Grove Alliance Church gymnasium, at 250 Century Road.  We kindly ask that non-perishable collections and gifts be delivered to the Church on Monday, December 14, 2015 (9am-5pm).
